Abstract

Campus plans defines University Areas. The dataset contains locations and attributes of University Areas, created as part of the DC Geographic Information System (DC GIS) for the D.C. Office of Zoning (DCOZ) and participating D.C. government agencies.

All DC GIS data is stored and exported in Maryland State Plane coordinates NAD 83 meters.
METADATA CONTENT IS IN PROCESS OF VALIDATION AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

Purpose

This data is used for the planning and management of Washington, D.C. by local government agencies.

For a fee, the Office of Zoning provides a zoning certification service when legal proof of zoning designation is required. The zoning map represented by this layer is unofficial and has not been adopted by the DC Office of Zoning. Once the DC OZ adopts the map, the only official Zoning map will reside on the DC Office of Zoning's server. Extracts from the map may be distributed to other DC government offices, but these extracts will not be official Zoning maps.
