Abstract

Neighborhood Composition is an index that describes the socio-economic status of the 1990 DC Census Tracts. It was created to support the Neighborhood Revitalization project to to target neighborhoods for revitailization initiatives.

Neighborhood Composition categories are Distressed, Emerging, Stable, Transitioning, and N/A as captured in field [NHOOD_COMP]

Purpose

This data is used for the planning and management of Washington by local government agencies.
